Dear Archer
Here is the latest newsletter from the Bowmen of Guernsey Committee.

Island Games
Huge congratulations to the Island Games team just back from Rhodes with our biggest ever medal Haul. In the FITA round, Toni Robilliard won silver and Chantelle Goubert produced a personal best to win Bronze. The Compound Team held on to take bronze too. In the Head to Head rounds, Toni added another bronze to his tally and Mike Appelqvist beat Ian Le Page to take Bronze. The Compound Team narrowly missed out on the final, but beat the Isle of Man to take bronze. Well done too to Jemma Loveridge who added almost 100 points to her FITA PB score.

Dave Inglis, Club President, said that “… he was quite pleased with their performance and noted that the success must have been due to his words of encouragement by text.” He was also pretty chuffed that Jersey failed to win a medal at all.

The 2009 games will be in Aland so get practicing now. Dates are Saturday 27th June to Saturday 4th July.

FITA Star
It is now less than 2 months to our FITA Star in September. If you wish to shoot, I need to know in the next month. You can fill in an entry form or just tell me. Please ask around for helpers for any time over the weekend. The more the better!

Have a Go
There are a couple of Have a Go sessions planned. The first is this Thursday 12th July 7pm for Simco. Apologies for the late notice.
The second is on Tuesday 24th July for Schroeders.
Help is appreciated. Let me know if you can help. It doesn’t have to be the same old faces and anyone can help out.

Web Site
Chantelle has redesigned our website www.bowmenofguernsey.org.gg and it is due to go on line later this week. Check it out and pass comments or content to her on jungle_tribe@hotmail.com Alternatively, let me know.
